We are engineers, architects, and installers of energy systems that supply self-sufficient “off grid” power on land and at sea… The power for the technology we rely on and use in our daily lives. This is the NEW ENERGY*. TODAY.
The sun. source of all energy… light and heat that generates electrical energy in solar cells and wind turbines. Power and energy that’s renewable, clean, and available now. In the reality of today, we may not yet be able to meet all our energy requirements with replenished sources, but we believe in a world where electric energy plays a main role.
There is a lot to be done yet. That’s why we are constantly thinking of new possibilities… designing, implementing, and testing new developments. We roll up our sleeves.
We have installed and use our energy systems on our sailboat where we live, and have many more examples of other systems in use. See for yourself:
* This what we mean by NEW Energy:The energy that was generated at the sun 8 minutes and 20 seconds ago (the sunlight takes 500 seconds to reach the earth). We should use this ‘fresh’ energy as much as possible. And it’s replenished every day for the next 5 billion years. We want to eliminate the “old energy”; that is, the use of fossil fuels which originated 300 million years ago and are not being replenished.
In Cadiz, Spain, we did an upgrade on the electrical systems and energy storage on a 38ft sailing yacht. As usual, we start with a thorough investigation of the existing…
In Greenock, Scotland, we installed a sturdy Victron energy system on a Bavaria 42 Vision. As usual, we start with a thorough investigation of the existing systems, the client’s wishes…
We were called to Phuket, Thailand. There’s been a fire after a short circuit on board of a Lagoon 50. The damage has been repaired by the installer but there…
In a gorgeous area in Portugal, a client bought a house in a small village. There’s one little problem: the house doesn’t have a grid connection and there’s no chance…
“Belnem House” is a newly built apartment complex at the Caribbean island Bonaire. At Bonaire, electrical energy is diesel-generated. Because the energy plant has reached its maximum capacity, new buildings…
Energy storage and peak-shaving. Together with Off-grid factory we build 4 battery-containers for Rent a battery. These containers with a storage capacity of 100 kWh and 90 kW inverter power…
Energy Storage at sea. On a catamaran we install an ESS (Energy Storage System). The owner’s wish is to be independent from shore power as much as possible and generate…
At a small farmhouse we install an ESS (Energy Storage System) with a power of 5 kW. In the cabinet are 2 lithium batteries from MG Energy with a total…
Military exercise terrain and shooting range air force at “De Vliehors”. This is de most westerly area (inhabited) of the island ‘Vlieland’, north of The Netherlands. It is an extremely…
Energy supply for a camera tower. On a new sandbar on the outskirts of the island of “Texel”, The Netherlands, scientists observe how nature (birds and vegetation) develops. For that…
Many solar panels are installed on a large house and shed, 30 kWp in total. This system allows the homeowner to be fully self-supporting in the event power from the grid fails.
Instead of its diesel generator running constantly, an inverter and battery bank, charged by the 24v DC from main engines’ alternators supplies all power.
5 large solar panels on a sailboat, with total peak power of 1700 W. These panels are transparent – solar cells on clear glass – and generate energy on the bottom side as well as the top.
Home energy system with 160 roof-mounted solar panels. Power is utilized directly from the panels or the batteries, with surplus power fed back into to grid
